Aging the parents
Marty has had some excitement lately that has me tweezing more gray hairs than normal. Let's get the negative stuff out of the way first: Marty fell out of his crib yesterday, in an attempt to avoid napping. This is my 3-4 hour per day, every day napping child. He had the wind knocked out of him and cried and does have a bruise but is otherwise ok and recovered quickly. But he did not take a nap. Today, he also did not take a nap. Now, Rob is great but yesterday he cleaned the garage and Saturday we went to his mom's and today he went to work... so I haven't had a moment to myself in 3 days and it's Monday. I came come to meltdown today and just put Marty in the car. My voicemail to Rob said, "We are getting in the car; it's the safest place (sob) for us right now. I have my knitting and am driving until Marty falls asleep. Meet me in Novi." (poor Rob) Marty slept a bit in the car and then had a fabulous time at Chuck E. Cheese.
In more happy news, today Marty said "bug" about a ladybug and "counting" about an abacus. An ancient counting device. I am amazed. At bath time, I am pretty sure he said "in bathtub" but could be mistaken.
No pictures today because we are lucky to be showered, much less look for the camera. Let's hope napping resumes shortly.
